Frank Steelman grew up watching his father finish driveways in Hillsborough County. By 18 he was on the crew. By 24 he was running jobs. In 2002, he started Steelman Concrete out of his garage with two employees and a referral from a neighbor — a driveway on Habana Ave that's still in perfect shape today.
Twenty-two years later, the crew has grown to 14, the license wall has more certifications on it, and the work ethic hasn't changed. Frank still shows up to every estimate personally. He still walks the job the morning after the pour.
The reason Steelman doesn't advertise much is simple: most of the work comes from the same neighborhoods where previous jobs were done. That kind of referral business only happens when the concrete is laid right.
